9-1 outsider Stunning Stag overhauled Pool Play in the final 70 yards to take the featured 6th, the mile and a sixteenth allowance prep for the G3 Eclipse Stakes. Emma Wilson got a leg up from trainer Sid Attard on Stunning Stag, who covered the distance in a relatively slow 1:44.97, in a race that featured a dawdling pace. Palladio trailed the five-hose field, after acting up in the gate.
