The Belmont Stakes is still more than five hours away, meaning there is still plenty of time for one of those hit and miss thunderstorms to come along and do some unwelcome damage. But after the first three main track races here Saturday, it looks like the surface is without bias.
As an aside, that was a very nice winning performance from Trappe Shot in today's fourth race. He made a shambles of a distinctly above average NW1X allowance field for his third dominating win from as many starts this year. It would be a surprise if there wasn't at least one stakes win out there in the not too distant future with Trappe Shot's name on it.
