Welken, who has dominated high-priced claimers for older females on turf, is 3-5 to win her fourth race of the meeting in Thursday's seventh race. Trained by Mike Mitchell, Welken must beat Gripsholm Castle, who was second in the Grade 2 La Canada Stakes here on Feb. 14.
Through four legs of the pick six, there has been only one winning favorite, Cookie's Jewel ($4.40) in the fourth race. She was followed to the winner's circle by Ukandoit ($14.60) and Country Tough ($15.80).
