Trainer Jose DeLima won his second 2-year-old race in as many days on Thursday when Candied Hearts ($14) won a two-furlong dash against open company.
Candied Hearts, a filly, won by a neck over the colt Cabo San Lucas in the field of seven. Ridden by Modesto Linares, Candied Hearts was timed in 21.36 seconds.
DeLima, who has saddled five winners at the meeting, pulled an upset in Wednesday's second race with Auntie Maud ($50). Both Candied Hearts and Auntie Maud are owned by breeder Joseph Duffel.
