Tyler Baze won his third race on Friday's eight-race card with Devine Actress, whose victory in the Santa Lucia Handicap was an upset.
Earlier in the day, Baze won the fourth race on Dash Dot Dash ($7.60) and the fifth race on Driveliketiger ($6.40).
Devine Actress ($19.40) ran 1 1-16 miles in 1:42.47, winning her first stakes in the race for fillies and mares that had not won a stakes at a mile or over this year. Trained by David Hofmans, Devine Actress stalked pacesetter Dance to My Tune, the 8-5 favorite, and Made for Magic through early fractions of 24.06 and 47.92 seconds and did not take the lead until the final sixteenth.
Devine Actress, a 5-year-old Theatrical mare, has won 3 of 6 starts since her career began in October for owners Amerman Racing.
