I know he was 6-5, but seeing Blame in his first start of the year rally into a deliberate pace to dominate Schafer Stakes in the last two-turn main track race before the Preakness tells me that Pimlico's surface today is fair to all running styles. Of course, that is just what you want to see on a day a Triple Crown event is to be decided.
Oh yeah, judging from this comeback, Blame should have a very nice year in a handicap division that has real quality at the top, but not much depth.
