It's a big afternoon at Lone Star Park, where a capacity field of 450 horseplayers are competing in a qualifying tournament for the Daily Racing Form/National Thoroughbred Racing Association Handicapping Championship. Track officials said the format is 10 regular wagers, with a minimum of five of them to be made on Lone Star. Wagers can also be made on simulcasts from Arlington Park, Belmont Park, Churchill Downs, Hollywood Park and Louisiana Downs. The Handicapping Championship will be held in Las Vegas, from Jan. 28-29.
Below are known changes for the Lone Star program that starts at 1:35 p.m. Central. It is 90 degrees in Grand Prairie, where the main track, which has been laboring the last two nights, is fast. The turf is firm. Good luck!
