Lone Star Park drew an ontrack crowd of 17,028 on Kentucky Derby Day, up 9 percent from the corresponding card in 2009. The track's patrons bet $1,075,884 on the Kentucky Derby, which lifted the track's total wagering on the Churchill Downs simulcast Saturday to $1.45 million. Last year, Lone Star patrons bet $1.3 million on the Kentucky Derby as part of the track's $1.37 million in wagering on the entire card from Churchill.
Lone Star offers drive-through wagering, and for Saturday reported that 986 cars accounted for $137,992 in wagers on all tracks offered. Last year on Kentucky Derby Day, there were 954 cars with total drive-through bets of $127,040.
