Winchester Bay ($5.80) flattered the 11-year-old King of Speed in the eighth race, when he won the $10,000 claiming turf route one race after finishing fourth to him in a starter allowance here April 10. Earlier on the card, King of Speed won a starter allowance. Luis Quinonez rode Winchester Bay for trainer Ernie Witt II.
