Nuggets Please, who is set to run Monday in the $100,000 USA Stakes on the Lone Star Million Day card, was flattered in tonight's seventh race when Klondike Express, a horse he defeated by more than three lengths last out, came back to win.
Klondike Express ($5.20) rolled home to edge Kitty Kats Tale on the wire in the $25,000 maiden claimer at a mile on turf. Kitty Kats Tale, meanwhile, was claimed out of the race. Nuggets Please will break from post 2 in the nine-horse USA. The mile and a sixteenth turf race for 3-year-olds is led by multiple stakes winner Coyote Legend.
