Trainer Bob Baffert, who sent out Mother Ruth to a seven-length win in the $75,000 Valid Expectations earlier on the card at Lone Star Park, has the current even-money favorite for the upcoming $100,000 Cinemine. She is Bonnie Blue Flag, who is a half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Diamondrella.
Since late February, the Southern California-based Baffert has won eight stakes in this region with his shippers. The wins have come at Oaklawn, Sunland Park and Lone Star. And in another Baffert stakes fact, since Lone Star opened in 1997, he has won 17 stakes from 34 stakes starters in Grand Prairie.
Later on the card, he has Mythical Power on deck for the Grade 3, $300,000 Lone Star Park Handicap.
