Really running behind today even after being out at CD well before dawn. Lookin for Lucky, Conveyance, and Jackson Bend were among the Derby horses working, and B.Baffert had his first morning of Derby 136 on the backstretch. Didn't get out of there til 9:30 and just got settled here at Kee. It's that time of year . . .
One more perfect weather day, with a fast Poly and firm turf. Weather's supposed to turn cooler, with maybe some rain Fri. night, altho we need it.
The feature today is the G3 Appalachian for 3yo turf fillies. It's just OK, as is the G3 Doubledogdare for older fillies and mares tomorrow. But the G2 Lexington here Saturday is a helluva race, despite it being unlikely to carry any meaning toward Derby 136. There are 12 3yos in there, and you really can't dismiss a one of them. Maybe a fave in the 4-1 range, which is always fun.
A number of changes on the 9-race Thursday card follow here. . . . best of luck.
