Luv Dragon won his first start around two turns in Friday's fouth race, producing an upset and returning $55. Ridden by Julio Garcia, Luv Dragon ran down second choice Wells Furgo in the final furlong of the maiden claimer over 1 1-16 miles.
The win by Luv Dragon increases the chances of a carryover since he was the sixth choice in the betting in a field of eight.
The field for the eighth, and final, race has been reduced by one following the scratch of Duty Before Honor, a 30-1 outsider. Track officials said Duty Before Honor did not receive Lasix by the deadline.
