Cavanal was taken in a five-way shake by Armando Lage. Self Insured was claimed by Ricardo Perez. Both trainers are based in Northern California.
The race was won by Sea Rascal, who emerged with the lead at the eighth pole under jockey Felipe Valdez and won by 1 1-4 lengths, returning $25.20.
