Consecutive beaten favorites has made the pick six harder to solve on Wednesday.
In the fifth race, a starter allowance over 1 1-16 miles on turf, Sky Chant ($17.40) held off Westwood Pride, the 6-5 favorite, to win by a head. In the sixth race, Waafi ($13.60) won a $10,000 claimer over seven furlongs, with Mind the Minister, the even-money favorite, closing from last to finish third.
Mind the Minister was claimed by trainer Oscar Garcia.
Those winners may have dented many pick six tickets, but for more extensive tickets it was always a pick five with Lucky Mr. K ($3.60) winning the first leg, the third race.
