Appealing Afare, a massive favorite in the show pool, won Saturday's second race for maiden claimers as the 1-5 favorite.
Appealing Afare ($2.60) returned $2.10 to show. The 3-year-old filly attracted $148,144 of the $177,142 bet to show. Ridden by Martin Garcia and trained by Bob Baffert, Appealing Afare stalkled pacesetter Our Bellini Bikini, ran wide on the turn and took the lead in early stretch. She finished six furlongs in 1:10.24, finishing 1 1-2 lengths ahead of the first-time starter Lutess. Indiara finished third in the field of six.
Appealing Afare's victory came in her fourth start.
The $2 double between Enriched ($2.80) in the first race and Appealing Afare in the second returned $5.
Appealing Afare was claimed for $50,000 in a two-way shake by trainer Doug O'Neill.
