Sunday's $2 pick six returned $5,543, with one double-digit winner, two winning favorites and one dead-heat for first. The pick six began with a two-day carryover of $514,127. Bettors added $2,192,724 on Sunday.
The winners of the pick six races were Knockout Artist ($17.40); Ten's Salty Sally ($5.20); Nostalgic Bid ($2.80); Our Shorty ($8) and Mesa Thunder ($9.40) - who finished in a dead-heat for first in the seventh race; Dawnie Macho ($7); and Stormin Rae ($5.80).
Stormin Rae scored a stylish win in a maiden race for state-breds over 5 1-2 furlongs. Ridden by Joel Rosario, Stormin Rae led throughout and won comfortably by 4 1-4 lengths in 1:04.74. Woodmans Luck, a slight favorite over Stormin Rae at 9-5, closed well to finish second, but never threatened the winner, who is trained by Adam Kitchingman.
Stormin Rae was a troubled second in his debut over five furlongs on June 5.
