Girl of Pangaea, an 11-1 shot, led throughout a $25,000 claimer on turf to win Sunday's third race.
A 5-year-old mare trained by Beau Greely, Girl of Pangaea ran 1 1-16 miles on turf in 1:41.99, winning for the first time since a maiden race here last December. She was 11-1 that day, too.
In her last start on May 6, Girl of Pangaea was a troubled last in a field of six, nearly falling while racing in traffic on the backstretch.
Girl of Pangaea was Greely's third winner of the meeting.
The race was reduced by one starter when Birdie Birdie, a 7-1 chance, was scratched with a minute to post becuase of unsoundness in her right forleg, trainer officials said.
