Our Shorty and Mesa Thunder reached the finish line simultaneously in Sunday's seventh race, a dead-heat that will make the lucrative pick six easier to hit for bettors who used the medium-priced longshots. It was the first dead-heat for first-place at the meeting.
Our Shorty ($8) was sent off at 6-1 and led in early stretch. Mesa Thunder ($9.40) was sent off at 8-1 and rallied late to finish evenly with Our Shorty. Mensa Heat, the 2-1 favorite, finished fourth.
