Trainer Doug O'Neill is in the midst of a 15-day suspension for a total carbon dioxide overage found in one of his starters in Illinois in April. When he ended efforts to appeal in late June, O'Neill said his stable would not have any starters during his suspension.
So far, O'Neill has stuck to that plan, but his assistant trainer, Leandro Mora, did claim a horse in Saturday's first race. Sky Searcher, who finished fourth in a $10,000 claimer over six furlongs was claimed by Mora. Presumably, the horse will start for O'Neill later this summer.
