Goshawk, dropping from a maiden special weight to a maiden claimer, led throughout the six furlongs and won by 6 1-4 lengths over Cookin Expresso in 1:11.57.
Trained by Bob Baffert and ridden by Martin Garcia, Goshawk was making his fourth start and first for a claiming price.
