Rapport was a dud last year, losing three maiden races at Churchill Downs and Saratoga for trainer D. Wayne Lukas by distances ranging from 17 to nearly 33 lengths.
In her 3-year-old debut on Saturday, Rapport led throghout a maiden race for fillies, winning by 5 1-4 lengths and finishing 6 1-2 furlongs in 1:15.90. Ridden by Martin Garcia and trained by Bob Baffert, their second win of the day as a team, Rapport led throughout, setting an early pace of 21.75 and 44.54 seconds. Rapport made her first start for Baffert on Saturday.
The disappointment in the field was 4-5 favorite Honey Bunch. Racing on the rail just off the pace, she offered little threat in the stretch and could only finish third.
