David LaCroix's Meadowbrook Farm won Thursday's second race with the 2-year-old maiden claimer Gator at Fonz's ($3.20) but for a change LaCroix was not the trainer. He gave up training his small stable last month, turning his horses over to other trainers.
Gator at Fonz's, who was seventh and second in her first starts, is now trained by Mike Mitchell.
LaCroix, who attended Thursday's race, said he plans to remain active as an owner and breeder. His family's Meadowbrook Farm is based in Florida.
