Pretty Katherine ($35.80), the longest shot in a field of six, rallied wide in the final furlong to catch pacesetter Burg Berg and win Wednesday's seventh race by a neck.
Ridden by Tyler Baze, Pretty Katherine, 4, ran 1 1-16 miles on turf in 1:42.76. Chasin Dreams, the 5-2 favorite, finished third.
Pretty Katherine ended a three-race losing streak, all in stakes. She was eighth in the Grade 2 La Canada Stakes, seventh in the Grade 1 Santa Margarita Handicap and fifth in the Santa Lucia Handicap during the Santa Anita meeting. Wednesday's race was her first win on turf, in her third start on the surface.
