Koolnquick ($62.20) pulled a frontrunning upset in Saturday's fifth race, the opening leg of a pick six that began with a carryover of more than $107,000.
Considering that Koolnquick was the second-longest shot in a field of eight, many tickets are probably beaten. Bettors added $833,440on Saturday. If there is a carryover into Sunday's final day of the meeting, it would be worth approximately $570,000.
Koolnquick was ridden by Alonso Quinonez, a late replacement for jockey Matt Garcia, who was off his mount on Saturday. Trained by Mel Stute, Koolnquick had been second once and third once in his first six starts. He was second in a maiden claimer here on July 5 and made his second start on turf on Saturday.
