Gallatin's Run was the 7- favorite to win a maiden race over 6 1-2 furlongs in Saturday's seventh race when he became fractious in the starting gate, got both front legs over the gate, and was subsequently withdrawn by track stewards.
After a six-minute delay, Capital Account inherited the role of favorite at 9-5. Ridden by Joel Rosario for trainer Bob Baffert, Capital Account led throughout and drew off through the stretch to win by 7 3-4 lengths over Distorted Economy, finishing 6 1-2 furlongs in 1:15.33.
Capital Account, a $330,000 yearling purchase at Keeneland in September 2008, was making his career debut.
