Apprentice jockey Alex Gonzalez, who arrived from Golden Gate Fields last week, won his third race of the week in Sunday's first race aboard the $8,000 claimer Swift Demand ($13.60).
Swift Demand finished a neck in front of Sidepocket Lou in the race over 5 1-2 furlongs, finishing in 1:03.60.
Swift Demand, a 6-year-old gelding, is trained by Ron Ellis. A winner of 3 of 19 starts, Swift Demand has never lived up to expectations. He was the sale topper for $290,000 at the 2005 Calilfornia October Yearling Sale at Barretts. Sunday's race was his first win since a $25,000 claimer at Santa Anita in April 2009.
