Hollywood Park: Gilchrist sails out a winner

Greg Gilchrist is going out a winner.

The 62-year-old trainer saddled the final starter of his career Wednesday in race 5. Island of Zen, bet like she could not lose in the $25,000 claiming sprint for 3-year-old fillies, won the race by a length and a half at $4.20.

The win was the 1,529^th of Gilchrist’s career. Joel Rosario rode Island of Zen, who was claimed by trainer Leonard Espinoza in a five-way shake.
