Fifie's Fatasy overcame a stumble at the start to win a $40,000 claimer over six furlongs in Sunday's seventh race.
Sent off as the even-money favorite, Fifie's Fantasy was last of five to the turn, and rallied three-wide in early stretch. She needed the entire stretch to catch Ninth Infantry, winning by a neck in 1:10.59. Trained by Janet Armstrong, Fifie's Fantasy won her debut at Santa Anita in a maiden claimer by 4 1-2 lengths in February and was sixth in an optional claimer over a mile on turf on March 19.
The return to claimers, and a patient ride by jockey Joel Rosario, gave her a second career win on Sunday.
