Look to the Sky ($3.40) and Duke of Aspen ($4.40) dominated the first two races on Friday, resulting in an early double of $8.20.
In the second race, trainer Paul Aguirre lodged an objection against apprentice jockey Johnny Gihua, who rode runner-up Rockstar Ben, alledging interference on the turn. The stewards disallowed the objection.
Rockstar Ben drifted to the outside in the stretch, carrying Steel Blue farther wide. Rockstar Ben, who seemed difficult for Gihua to handle, rallied through the stretch to finish second. Duke of Aspen won by 6 1-4 lengths, easily beating seven rivals in the race over 1 1-16 miles.
