The second-time starter Swiss Wild Cat won a maiden race for 2-year-olds fillies in Sunday's second race, pulling clear in the final furlong to win by 1 1-4 lengths over the first-time starter Shoo Gee.
Ridden by apprentice jockey Christian Santiago Reyes, Swiss Wild Cat ran 4 1-2 furlongs in 51.98 seconds. Trained by Mike Harrington, the filly was second in her debut here on April 25. In Sunday's race, she stalked the pace to early stretch and took command in the final furlong.
Reyes is riding as an apprentice jockey for the final day on Sunday. He loses his apprentice claim on Tuesday, a day in which there is no racing, and will ride as a journeyman beginning Wednesday.
