Harmonious and Taro dominated an allowance race for 3-year-old fillies over 1 1-8 miles on turf in Saturday's third race in a style that suggested the fillies could play a role in stakes this summer.
Harmonious ($3) rallied from just off the pace to win by a half-length over Taro, who was 2 1-4 lengths clear of Riviera Chic in the field of seven. Harmonious was timed in 1:49.03, remaining unbeaten in two starts on turf. She beat maidens in a one-mile race on May 16.
Taro, a California-bred, was making her turf debut.
