The heavily favored Coracao Beijo won Thursday's first race by a comfortable length over pacesetter Ms Margaritaville after jockey Mike Smith guided the winner wide on the turn.
Coraceo Beijo ($3) ran a mile on turf in 1:37.61.
The 4-year-old filly was heavily favored in the show pool, attracting $50,556 of the $62,675 bet in the pool. Of course, she returned $2.10 to show.
