Isle of Giant's, who was seventh in an optional claimer on turf on April 21, dropped into a $25,000 claimer for non-winners of two in Saturday's third race, and essentially galloped his way into the winner's circle.
Ridden by Joel Rosario, Isle of Giant's ($5) won by 16 1-4 lengths, finishing 1 1-16 miles in 1:42.72. The margin of victory reflected the quality of the chasing pack.
While the 5-year-old gelding Isle of Giant's was dropping in class from his last start, he did run in maiden claimers at Woodbine last year.
