Trainer Doug O'Neill and jockey Tyler Baze teamed to win twice with favorites on Wednesday, the fourth race with Ms Margaritaville ($3.80) for maiden claimers and the sixth race with Ishmael ($4).
Ishmael gave Baze his third consecutive winner. Ishmael, a 3-year-old colt, led throughout a $16,000 claimer, winning by 1 1-4 lengths over Days of Lightning. Ishmael finished six furlongs in 1:10.06.
The first two finishers in the sixth race were claimed. Ishmael was taken by Leonard Espinoza, while Days of Lightning was claimed by Jack Carava. Ishmael had been claimed for $40,000 at the Hollywood Park fall meeting and was winless in three starts at Golden Gate Fields and Santa Anita earlier this year.
