Blind Luck a 3-2 Kentucky Oaks favorite with 14 minutes to post. Like her chances well enough, as she should get a good trip and clearly is at least as talented as anyone in the field. Isn't the Oaks pace likely to be very, very fast, though? And as mentioned in a previous post, the inside paths really have seemed inferior all day on the main track. Maybe we'll get something different for the Oaks, but based on what I've seen so far, I want nothing contesting the pace from the front end, and there should be plenty like that in this spot. Dead closer Jody Slew is a big number at 35-1 right now, and Pletcher-trained Ailalea, another off-the-pacer, is a surprisingly high 28-1 in race where she should move forward.
