After a couple of weeks of just unrelenting heat, it has finally let up here . . . somewhat. The high temp today is "only" supposed to reach 90. OK, so we'll take it.
The penultimate 4-day stretch of the 42-day spring meet starts with a 9-race card today. Fast track, firm turf (inner rail 22 feet off hedge), although they're talking about a chance of a downpour later today. We'll see.
The carryover into the $2 pick six (races 4-9) is just over $50k today . . . we'll probably take a little run at it. No carry in the $1 super high five (race 9).
