A major early-morning thunderstorm helped to temporarily cool things off in these parts, altho the weathermen have said temps will soar back into the high 90s later today. In the meantime, everything got absolutely soaked, and there will be no turf racing throughout a stakes-less 11-race Sat. card that starts at 12:45 ET. The main track is currently sloppy, altho it could dry out fairly quickly as the day progresses.
