The weather dudes are talking about a pretty hard rain maybe coming here at some point during the first of the 4 straight Friday nights of racing, but as of about 3:30 ET there's still no signs of that . . . yet. It's fairly hot and definitely humid, so maybe conditions are in fact building for a downpour . . . we'll see. There are 3 turf races scheduled for tonight, but track super B.Lehr says he'll take 2 of them off the grass if needed while leaving the featured $62k Opening Verse (race 10) on the turf.
So, as of now, a fast track, a firm turf (inner rail is out 22 feet), and a $31k carryover into the $2 pick 6 (races 6-11). First post is 6 p.m. ET. We'll catch up later with additional changes . . .
