As we get ready for the 2nd of the 4 Fri nite programs here, the weather is just sweltering, with the temperatures expected to be in the low 90s and remaining at about 85 even at 10 p.m. Only a minimal chance of rain. Whew . . . how appropriate that the theme tonight is "South Beach."
A fast track, firm turf, with the inner rail out 15 feet again today. First post 6 ET, meaning they'll probably start with the 7th or 8th race in really needing the lights tonight. A $22,000 carryover into the $1 super high five (race 11) is worth noting.
