It's been a long, hard year for trainer Barry Rose but the son of legendary local trainer Hal Rose finally ended a meet long drought when sending out Emma's Knight to win the seventh race under replacement rider Sixto Ribera. The victory was the first in 20 starts at the meet for Rose and just the second from 83 starters this year.
The main track favoring speed and stalkers through the opening half of the program with three of the five dirt races thus far won from just off the pace, the other two on the lead.
