That's the feeling one gets when a horse like My Friend Rossario wins a race like the fifth event. The 5-year-old mare was beaten nearly 23 lengths under similar conditions three weeks earlier and her trainer Arlene Edlkraut was winless from 38 starters on the year up to this one. Plenty more where this race came from as the meet progresses.
Earlier on the card, jockey Manoel Cruz and trainer Dave Vivian combined for back to back victories with Pink Gloss(2nd) and Theposse'safterme(3rd), both of whom were bet to favoritism. Former overcame a little shuffling on the far turn, rallied from off the pace to post her second straight win and is obviously rounding into top form at this time.
Another full field of slow horses coming up in the sixth. Perhaps another "random" result on the way.
