Trippi's Sailor remainded unbeaten in three starts on grass when rallying to catch Fly Express in the closing yards of the featured ninth race. Joanie's Catch, who continues to run well despite an arduous schedule, ran a credible third in her turf debut after pressing the pace from the outset but really could use a little break.
Rainbow's Eclipse took some early money, drifted to 9-1 but was good enough to win her debut in the finale over a very ordinary field of filly and mare maiden special weight rivals. Splash of Silver finished second with no excuse in her second start off the layoff. Galabella was pounded to even money but was never a serious factor while racing wide throughout.
Speed was boss over the main track today with front runners and stalking dominating the card once again especially in sprints.
