The late money all came in on my selection in the afternoon's first baby race, Passionate Cat, who stalked the pace and outlasted the late running Ithinkicaninoican to win his debut at 9-5. The runnerup, who received a significant late rider change from 10 pound apprentice Jose Alvarez to leading jockey Luis Saez, rallied from far back and was going best of all at the end easily galloping out past the winner shortly beyond the finish line.
