After going winless for the opening six months of the year, trainer Luis Olivares finally found the winners circle in Friday's finale when Crown Glory rallied to her maiden win over 8-5 favorite Rarely Wrong. The victory snapped a 57 race skid since the start of the year that included a frustrating second place finish by Green Vegas in the previous race, a horse who appeared to have the leader measured only to lug in when failing to change leads down the stretch under leading rider Luis Saez.
Speed held the edge for the most part on today's card. Tomorrow the biggee, the Summit of Speed.
