Trainer Marty Wolfson is currently celebrating in the winner's circle with Coffee Boy who ground out a hard fought victory over Dream of Atlantis in the Unbirdled Stakes. Now Wolfson will walk to the paddock where he'll find a way to saddle five of the seven horses in the U Can Do It Handicap.
In another note, jockey Douglas Portillo who was kicked in the paddock earlier in the day has reportedly suffered several fractions to bones below his hip according to his agent Ed Fyffe. The incident precipitated a 40 minute delay while awaiting a substitute ambulance. The mutuel department has made up some of that time with the U Can Do It now scheduled to go off at :6;02 or approximately 24 minutes behind schedule.
