Tough beat for anyone who had first time starter Yes HE's Innocent at 7-1 in the fifth race. Overtook even money I'm A Playboy in early stretch and appeared to have that rival measured only to hang late and drop a narrow decision. Trainer Steve Dwoskin continues to remain winless with debut maiden claimers over the last several years.
Good to see Temo's Dream back in the winner's circle again after he rallied to overtake Pressure in late stretch to win the sixth. The victory was the first since the summer of 2009 for Temo's Dream who did cross the finish line first in the Needles Stakes last fall only to lose the decision via a stewards disqualification. He raced under an $8,000 claiming tag today.
For some reason, Greeley's Kiss opened at 1/9 for the upcoming eighth race although perhaps that wager was cancelled as he's now 7-1 with seven minutes to post. Five of the 11 original entrants were scratched after the race came off the grass.
