We're exactly one month from the meet opener at Saratoga, but there are still four more weeks to get through at Belmont, which has been referred to recently as The Big Empty.
If you like sprints, Wednesday's card is just what the doctor ordered. Only one race (the 5th at a mile) is longer than seven furlongs, and things conclude with an all-turf-sprint late pick-4.
Started off the week picking a cold $55 trifecta of Trillian ($7.80), Mighty Irish and Aegean Breeze in the opener, so hopefully it's not all downhill from there.
