Note to self: Downgrade importance of AP workout times till further notice.
I picked several horses so far today in part because of works, but those works haven't translated. In race 1, Rambunctious Spy showed six furlongs in 1:15 at AP, not a bad three-quarters drill for a bottom-level Ill.-bred maiden. He hardly lifted his feet. In race 3, I quite liked MSW-dropping Flash Jordan stretching out from a sprint to two turns while sporting two exceptionally fast AP works. He made the lead, but was under heavy pressure before the stretch, and barely held on to fourth while fading. In race 4, Big Rushlet showed a sharp bullet half-mile in 46 seconds on May 15 at AP, and he ran horribly. And in race 6, first-time synthetic starter Outlaw Bounty had a pretty snappy half in 47.40 seconds showing from May 8. He faded to fourth. Works just not meaning much in these several cases.
