Catching up on a couple races: As predicted, the scratches of the other speed in race 3 more than did the trick for Exchanging Kisses. Loose on lead through 25.62 50.76 pace going one mile, and from there would've had to fall down to lose -- which he did not do. Frustrating, cause Tight Grip, who I liked, was a pretty sharp second after racing closest to the pace-setter, and surely would have had a better chance covered up behind the leaders with multiple horses pressing the early action. Race 5 saw another front-end turf winner, this Pi Bella, who went 24.45 and 49.82 for James Graham / Roy Houghton on way to an eaaassy Illinois-bred N1X allowance score. Mile in 1:38.30 compared favorably to Exchanging Kisses' 1:38.15, the latter, albeit, off a slower pace. Pi Bella a second-timer turfer by Pioneering, whose get do all right on the lawn.
